Media statement re: NWSLC’S Nuneaton Campus re-development plans

A spokesperson for North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College said, “Since November 2020, when NWSLC was granted planning permission for the re-development of its Nuneaton Campus, the college has been engaged in the process of seeking an appropriate developer for the land that is ear-marked for housing and an appropriate contractor to deliver the new all-weather sports facility. This process continues and we are hoping to complete negotiations in the months ahead.

“The re-development project was devised following a review of the college’s facilities at its Nuneaton Campus and is designed to secure the investment it needs to provide an updated, contemporary 21^st century learning environment that will put college students in the best place to contribute to the post-pandemic recovery of the UK economy.

“The future prosperity of our town and our region depends on a commitment to investing in the development of high-quality skills. The college aims to deliver vastly improved technical facilities, new courses fit for the digital world, enhanced teaching spaces capable of accommodating increases in student numbers, and a flexible and adaptable learning experience that is resilient to the disruption of pandemics and any future challenges.”
