NWSLC Employability Manager Develops her skills through a Level 5 Leadership and Management Apprenticeship

‘Others should defiantly consider an apprenticeship!..’ 

Dawn Helsby,  student employability manager, is currently enrolled on the Level 5 Leadership and Management Apprenticeship. As part of #LearningatWorkWeek Dawn talks about her learning journey on the apprenticeship and how it has supported her to progress into a higher management role.

‘I wanted to develop my skills further, be the best I can be and get the most out of the team I am managing.’

‘Being on an apprenticeship, I have realised that you learn a lot when you are on the job. What I have learnt allows me to share good practice to those that I work with and the team I support.’

‘The flexibility of the apprenticeship suits me perfectly. I have a young family, so being able to work and earn money at the same time is great.’
