NWSLC have been crowned champions of the Aoc Sport, West Midlands Football League with two games still to play. The hard work and effort that has been shown in training has excelled into remarkable performances in matches.

Joshua Taylor, Sport Lecturer & Football Academy Lead said:

“The performances from the team have been dominant, creative and brave with all our players developing their understanding of the game and their roles individually and collectively across the phases of the game.

“The performances have shown ambitious attacking qualities from our players with 61 goals scored and 8 conceded in 12 games. The players have displayed some top class performances with winning results like 16-0 and 12-0 nearer the last part of the season and at the first part of the season coming back from behind many times to win within the last 10 minutes of the game.

“The players have genuinely made a caring, cohesive environment where they can challenge one another in a way where they can strive and be strong in character together. NWSLC has competed in over 25+ fixtures this season over the East Midlands League and West Midlands League and all players and staff involved have worked so hard to make this achievement happen.

“Personally as the Head Coach I’d like to send a message of appreciation to all the players and staff for all of their hard work.”
