All of our partner universities have recently been recognised by the government and awarded a gold or silver standard as part of the new teaching excellence framework (TEF), that recognises quality teaching in Higher Education. This means that by studying your university degree right here at the College, your degree will now be even more valuable as your qualification will be awarded from some of the top universities in the UK.
What is a Foundation Degree?
A foundation degree is comparable to the first two years of study of an honours degree, designed to help develop your practical skills and knowledge in a specific industry sector, and assessed through project work, essays and reports, exams, practical work and presentations. Depending on the study route you choose to take, a foundation degree takes up to two years to complete and can be converted into a full Bachelor’s degree through an additional year of study at university.
What is a Bachelor’s Degree?
A bachelor degree is an academic course of study that takes three to four years to complete and designed to give students a thorough understanding of a particular subject whilst developing their analytical, intellectual and essay/dissertation writing skills. There are different types of bachelor’s degrees available to study such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Medicine (MB), all of which can be studied part-time or through flexible learning.
