This course is an exciting introduction to the world of performance. It aims to develop the practical skills and experience of learners and enable them to progress onto higher level courses in their chosen specialism.
The course looks at a range of units and will build skills in acting, dancing and singing. Classes will be a mix of practical and theoretical and many performance opportunities will be available throughout the year:
Entry requirements are 4 GCSE's at Grade D/3 or relevant Level 1 qualification.
All successful applicants will need to wear, for practical classes, comfortable black T-shirts and joggers/leggings and appropriate footwear for practical work. Further details will be given out during induction week.
After completing the Level 2 in Performing Arts you will be able to progress onto the Level 3 Performing Arts. Alternatively, you could choose to progress into employment.
Courses are free for 16-18 who have not studied higher than GCSE's. Even if you have studied a different course at college or sixth form we may still be able to help.
