About

This course will help you to develop your interior design and prepare you for work in a design related employment. You will learn in the fully equipped design studios, and the modules are either taught by our experienced lecturers in our design workshops where you will be introduced to drawing skills, colour theory and styling, computer aided design (CAD), conceptual and spatial thinking to help you understand the creative design process and develop ideas for a client brief. There will be visits to exhibitions, galleries and trade fairs to gain a more rounded understanding of the industry and its history. You will be based at our specialist Creative campus at Hinckley and have access to the latest design software in our tech suites.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Equipment

Drawing equipment, scale ruler and folders. Most materials can be purchased from the College shop.

Next Steps

Successful completion can lead on to the Extended Diploma in Interior Design. Students who successfully complete the two years could progress onto the HND in Interior Design or enter employment in this occupational area.
