When Andreea, 19, from Leicester first arrived in the UK from Romania with her family three years ago, she immediately started a college career that has seen her achieve three Distinction Star grades for her Level 3 Travel & Tourism diploma which she completed at the college’s Wigston Campus.

Andreea said, “I really loved the course and the campus, and my tutors were the best! Despite the lockdown, we kept learning online and I was able to successfully complete all the modules at home. Some of the work was quite challenging but I worked hard, and I am delighted to receive such good results.

“I plan to go to university next but don’t know yet whether I will study tourism and hospitality management at Coventry University or business and management at De Montfort University. I learned so much at college about how the travel sector works and about all the possible careers I could start. I am especially interested in becoming a travel agent, but I won’t finally make up my mind until after I have graduated. I will certainly miss going to college because I really enjoyed it and made some good friends.”
