Students from North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College finished the year with a spectacular display in the form of fashion, art and everything visual, hosted at our creative campus in Hinckley.

The end of year shows began with the opening of the BLINK 2019 Art Exhibition which introduced the latest and upcoming talent in visual media. Featuring disciplines such as film, graphic design and photography, the display was an annual celebration of a journey connected through artistic communication and creative development.

Following a very successful launch, models took to the catwalk wearing eye-catching collections created by BTEC Fashion students. The designers took inspiration for their women’s and men’s wear collections from Shakespeare literature, the future of technology, the 90s to name a few. It was a great night had by all and marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication by staff and students.

All good things come in threes and that was the certainly the case for visitors, as the creative arts exhibition also took pride of place throughout the Hinckley Campus. The exhibition was an opportunity to celebrate students’ achievements and see first-hand the high standard of work they create.

John Watson, Creative Arts and Media Learning Skills Manager, said ‘‘I am very proud of every student and member of staff who worked so hard to make the end of year show happen. There is a huge amount of energy and creativity at NWSLC, and it is great to have the opportunity to open the campus to visitors for them to immerse themselves in the creativity of our students.”
