Construction opportunities for local job seekers

We’ve been working with IM properties, Hinckley Groundworks and WK Construction to deliver fast-track training to jobseekers.

Those taking part will have the opportunity to gain work experience at Hinckley Park, a new £225 million warehousing and industrial site between the A5 and M69 in Hinckley. Developer, IM Properties, said 280 full-time jobs are being created during each year of construction.

Candidates will complete a three-week scheme at our Harrowbrook Campus and at IM Properties’ Hinckley Park site to gain a Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualification. Those who complete successfully will also be guaranteed interviews for permanent jobs.

The experience includes preparing ground, laying slabs, edging, dumper driver training, health and safety and employability skills.
