As a Production chef, you will work as part of a team in time-bound and often challenging kitchen environments, such as; schools, hospitals, the Armed Forces, care homes and high street casual dining or pub kitchens. As an apprentice you will report to the Senior Production chef or appropriate line manager to develop standardised recipes and menus to a high volume.


  • Understand Personal, Food and Kitchen Hygiene
  • Compliance to Procedures, Specifications and Recipes
  • Portion Controls and Budgetary Constraints
  • Adapt to Dietary, Religious and Allergenic Requirements
  • Maintain Production Schedules, Legislative and Quality Standard Documentation
  • Customers and Colleagues Communication

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or relevant work experience depending on the employer.
