About

This course will equip an engineering operative technician with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support a mechanical manufacturing role within the workplace. This apprenticeship will allow an apprentice to produce components using hand fitting techniques, milling machines and lathes whilst adapting to the ever-evolving changes within the industry.

  • Preparing and Using Lathes for Turning Operations
  • Preparing and Using Milling Machines
  • Producing CAD Models (Drawings) using a CAD System
  • Engineering Environment Awareness
  • Fitting and Assembly, Manual Turning and Manual Milling Techniques

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or relevant work experience depending on the employer.
