Apprenticeships

Automotive

The automotive sector is facing a skills revolution as the move towards electric vehicles gathers pace. The UK government has even brought forward a ban on petrol and diesel engines to 2030 as part of the ‘green industrial revolution. If you want to work within the auto retail sector on the service, repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles, an apprenticeship is a great place to start. We have links with many employers and can help you to find job roles where you will work to gain skills and experience while also attending college one day a week to learn the theory.

As an aspiring technician, our apprenticeship will help you to learn how to service and repair light vehicles, replace components, solve complex faults, use diagnostic methods and equipment, as well as a whole array of additional skills.

Did you know?

The top five best selling cars in the UK at the end of 2020 were:

  • Vauxhall Corsa
  • Volkswagen Golf
  • Mercedes-Benz A-Class
  • Nissan Qashqai
  • Ford Focus.

The MIRA Technology Institute is one of our campuses so you can progress up the ladder with your qualifications and move on in your career without leaving college.
