Level 3 Counselling Studies – Wigston

Level 3 Counselling Studies – Wigston

Health and Social Care

Counselling Level 2

As a student, you will learn how to develop skills and theories in relation to the Person-centred approach which is based on the ideas of Carl Rogers. Rogers also developed his theories in regard to learning and believed that effective learning takes place when the student is actively engaged with their education.

As a faculty we promote the Rogerian way of learning, facilitating an experiential approach to study and we value the importance of the quality of relationships between Tutors and students.

The Person-Centred approach translates too many different professions including, teaching, health and social work, care work, care work through the NHS, Citizens Advice, interpreters’, mentoring roles, teaching assistant, the police, customer care and human resources. Counselling qualifications are a great addition to any CV and will help secure job roles within caring professions and roles that require interaction with others.
