About

This course develops students in practical, creative and professional journalism and media skills. We aim to introduce students not only to a broad understanding of journalistic skills and the ability to utilise them to a professional standard, but to also understand the changing face of the industry and the legal and ethical issues. As well as journalistic writing, students will study elements of graphic and page layout and design, photography and film studies.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Equipment

Stationery, diary, access to a computer would be a significant advantage, but not necessary.

Next Steps

Upon successful completion of the programme, students have the necessary skills to enter university, further training or a career in the media and communication industries.
