HNC General Engineering – Robert Pouton

Subject Area

HNC General Engineering, Engineering courses

Robert, 26, has worked in the engineering sector for ten years, completing his Level 3
apprenticeship at the College’s Nuneaton campus. He worked as a CNC Machinist for the Premier Group and for ADV Manufacturing in Coventry, signing up to study for an HNC in Engineering to further improve his skills and knowledge, and to equip himself for future
promotion.

Robert enjoyed the learning experience on his HNC course so much, he was inspired to re-think his career and returned to the College as a lecturer in engineering. Robert is now passing on the skills he has learned in industry to Level 2 students, helping them to develop turning, milling and fitting skills so that they can join engineering machine shops when they complete their studies.
