This course is designed to introduce student to the exciting opportunities in the Hospitality and Catering Industry.
- City and Guilds Entry Level 3 in Introduction to Hospitality including Basic Cooking, Basic Food Preparation
- Customer Service
- Healthy Eating
- Serving Food and Drink
- Using Kitchen Equipment and Functional skills at an appropriate level.
There are no formal entry requirements but you will need to have an interest in the course and be willing to comply with health, safety and hygiene regulations. You will be asked to come in for an interview.
Kitchen uniform, basic knife set, stationery. The uniform will need to be purchased by the student. If financial assistance is needed, please contact our bursary team.
On successful completion of this course you could progress onto a Level 1 NVQ Certificate in Professional Catering.
Mode of Study
Courses are free for 16-18 who have not studied higher than GCSE's. Even if you have studied a different course at college or sixth form we may still be able to help. Speak to the admissions team for more information. There maybe free or reduced costs for adults, contact the admissions team to see if you are eligible.
