Subject Area

Foundation Degree in Healthcare Play Specialism

I became a teacher six years ago after graduating with BA Hons in Youth and Community Development with a JNC qualification from De Montfort University.

The best thing about my job role is being part of my students’ transformative learning experience. Teaching on a variety of higher education programmes where I can adapt my knowledge depending on what subject and level I am teaching.

This degree has been developed to raise the profile of and enhance the professional skills and status of the Play Specialist. The programme of study is aimed at both volunteers and staff employed in the sector. It provides an opportunity to gain the qualities and transferable skills necessary for employment in the sector.
