LEVEL 1 Bricklaying


You will learn the basic bricklaying techniques, skills and terminology used by a bricklayer. This introduction will give you the confidence to take your first steps into a career in bricklaying.


  • Basic block and bricklaying skills and cavity walling projects
  • Setting out skills for masonry structures
  • Health and Safety regulations and requirements
  • Communication and structures within the construction industry
  • Building knowledge and construction skills

Entry Requirements

GCSE grades of 3 or above in English and maths or equivalent.


Suitable safety footwear and overalls along with items of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE).

Courses are free for 16-18 who have not studied higher than GCSE's. Even if you have studied a different course at college or sixth form we may still be able to help. Speak to the admissions team for more information. There maybe free or reduced costs for adults, contact the admissions team to see if you are eligible.
