If you require a CSCS card to get a labouring job but don’t have the required qualification and need practice to pass the CITB test, then this course is for you.
During this one week course, you will improve your employability skills and complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.
On successful completion of the course, you will gain two certificates. One for the City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Employability and then one for the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. If you pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, you will then receive a print off which states you passed and your CITB registration number. With this, we can apply for your CSCS card.
Why should I do this course?
If you require a CSCS card to get a labouring job and don’t have the required qualification and therefore need practice to pass the CITB test, then this course is just for you.
The course is FREE to anyone unemployed and looking for work and in receipt of qualifying benefits, therefore, we will pay for your exam fees and your CSCS card.
If you wish to gain your CSCS card and you are employed, the cost will be £150.
What is CSCS?
Construction Skills Certification Scheme is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS provides evidence that all those working on a construction site hold the required skills and qualifications.
Although it is not a legal requirement to hold a CSCS card, it is considered best practice. Most contractors and major house builders will require their workers to hold a valid CSCS card.
The Scheme is delivered under contract by CITB.
