Joshua, 21, has progressed through the levels on his sport qualifications and is now in the second year of an HND in Sport at the College’s Wigston campus.

Joshua works for Leicester City Football Club as a coach within the Regional Talent Club. As part of this role, he works two evenings per week coaching, with games on Saturdays. Joshua has gained a great deal of valuable experience working within Leicester City, including gaining exposure to former Premier League managers such as Micky Adams. He also coaches local grassroots clubs Harborough Town and Thurmaston Magpies.

As part of his second-year project, Joshua is carrying out research into the way football coaching and management has changed over the last 15-20 years. He will work on this project alongside other modules on sport and
fitness.

Joshua aims to complete his BA with a top-up year either at Loughborough, Manchester or Nottingham Trent University. He will then go on to study for a PGCE and gain his UEFA B Coaching Licence. His ultimate ambition is to work as a coach for Manchester United Football Club.
