Tomorrow is bank holiday Friday – a day to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VE day. Let us know if you hear any trumpeters, pipers or town criers and send us a video of your activities! Maybe you’ll be dressing up, or decorating the house.

We’re coming up to week 8 of isolation, and we’re still here to support you through this time with activities and guidance. Take this time to start thinking about your future, and what you’re currently finding interesting through isolation.

Tea time with Alli

Like the majority of the world, I have been working from home which has come with its ups and downs. It’s great to be able to have the time to organise lots of fun things to do in the new academic year, but I have been missing family and friends so much! It’s amazing the technology you can use to catch up with close ones. I would go as far as saying I have spoken my to family and friends more than ever from the comfort of my own home.

Like most people I have many close friends that work within the NHS, they fill me with so much pride every day. They put themselves on the frontline no matter how tired or exhausted they are to look after the nation. I will be wearing my NHS badge with great pride today for all the NHS staff members and keyworkers keeping the country going. I have completed a 5k run to raise money for the NHS. Let us know what you have been doing to support!

Tomorrow is a very special day. It’s the 75th anniversary of VE day to commemorate all those that fought, lost their lives or survived. I will be baking cupcakes to give out to vulnerable people in the community and dressing up in 40’s attire. Let us know what you are doing to commemorate this monumental occasion?

Are you feeling bored or maybe even nervous about starting college after having so much time out of education? We are here to help!
