Students on the college’s engagement programme have been using their creative skills to brighten up the Nuneaton Campus.
Starting off as a single rainbow, the project has now spread across the whole of the first floor and features a range of key workers including teachers, bus drivers, warehouse staff and postal workers.
The students have also been busy learning about VE day and its 75th anniversary that is being recognised with this week’s bank holiday on Friday.
Ian Lee, Foundation Learning Lecturer at the College said: “this is also tying in with a project that some of the students participated in with the Poppy Appeal which was for The British Legion back in November, so it is helping them to continue their learning on the history of the World Wars.”
Nuneaton Campus remains partially open to support the children of keyworkers, those with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), students in local authority care, and other students that are known to be vulnerable.
Other students are being supported to continue their learning online, and the college continues to take applications for courses starting in September 2020.
