ACCESS TO HUMANITIES

Access to Humanities is a full-time course that is taught over one academic year. It is designed for adults that may have some experience but want to get back into education and go on to study further.  The course covers a range of topics including History, English Literature, Politics, Study Skills and presentation skills.

During your time with us, we will assist you in completing a UCAS application and writing a personal statement to support the application. In doing this, you will evaluate your personal qualities, skills and experience and apply them to your chosen career.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You will need a GCSE in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above. No previous experience is required.  If you don’t have qualifications in English and maths, we can help you to get them.

Access to Humanities opens many doors in varying sectors because of the skills you learn on the course.

In addition to developing your knowledge of the course subjects, our humanities programme also equips you with skills such as creative thinking; critical thinking, analytical skills, and the confidence and ability to express your opinion. These transferrable skills will allow you entry into many different career pathways including Teaching, Journalism, Marketing, Media, Advertising, Research and Management.
